Plumber, Zionsville homeowner disagree about sump pump repair
COMPLAINT: Shawn Reidy, Zionsville, Ind.
I hired Indy Plumbing to install a backup sump pump. They didn't plug in the sump pump and it caused more than $6,000 worth of damage.
DESIRED RESOLUTION: I want repayment of damages in the amount of $6,000.
RESPONSE: Gunnar Lee, owner, Indy Plumbing
Before we started the job, we gave the member a $200 discount because he said he was low on money.
After the backup sump pump was installed, the plumber took the customer down to the basement to show him that he needed to buy a three-way plug.
There was only one outlet open and we don't supply three-way plugs. We told the customer that he could buy it at any hardware store. The customer said he would go buy one right away. The customer did not purchase one.
