Plano homeowner says landscaping disappoints after installation
I hired Love Your Lawn of Plano, Texas, to plant three rose bushes, 20 dwarf holly plants, 16 flats of seasonal flowers and install Christmas lights.
They finished the planting a week after they were scheduled. They didn’t plant what we discussed. The bushes were supposed to be 3 feet tall, but stood about 6 inches tall. The salesman said I would have medium-size rose bushes or rose shrubs. They are a couple of inches high.
As for the lights, the salesman said I had to buy from them and couldn’t use ones I used previously. He said they would use my lights on my bushes in the front of my home, on trees in my front yard and on the three pillars in my backyard. They came unannounced 10 days after they said they would to install the lights.
I was so disappointed. There was just a single row of white lights on my roof edge. I asked why they didn’t put up my lights on the shrubs, trees and pillars. The installer said he knew nothing about that.
Finally, they came back out to finish the lights, but only put my lights on my bushes in my front yard, and they left without testing the timer. I paid for light installation so my daughter would feel the Christmas spirit when she came home for the holiday.
I pulled into my subdivision after picking her up at the airport, and my home was dark. Because they never tested, when the lights came on, it would trip the circuit.
The look I was trying to achieve never happened. I want a $1,350 refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
