Phone service accused of failing to meet contract requirements

Phone service accused of failing to meet contract requirements

COMPLAINT: Jane Burton, St. Louis

"When I signed up for phone and Internet with AT&T [4133 Elm Park Drive, St. Louis], they entered into a contract with me to provide excellent and dependable service.

"For five or six months, I've had to call for phone repair about once a week. The people who show up seem competent but frustrated. The phone will be fine for about a week, then service fails.

"There have been times when the phone doesn't work at all - no dial tone, just noise and I can hear other conversations.

"It's impossible to find a live human being by phone without long waits, maddening commercials and irritating music. When you do find a real person, they often need to transfer you to a different department.

"I've refused to pay the phone portion of my bill."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want my phone bill payments refunded and the $100 rebate I was promised when I signed up."

STATUS: Penalty Box
