Phoenix Contractor Gives Garage a Fresh Look with Epoxy Flooring
Glendale, Arizona, Angie’s List member Richard R. recently covered his garage floors with epoxy flooring. The job included his three-car garage and a workshop where he restores cars. According to his review, Richard says the update has improved the areas. “It came out beautiful,” he says. “I love how classy our garage looks now.”
Richard hired highly rated First Class Coatings of Phoenix to complete the work, which cost $4,922. He says owner Eric Marks was hands-on during the project and didn’t just act like a salesman. “He inspects everything and often works shoulder-to-shoulder with his crew,” Richard says.
During installation, the crew experienced high winds, which caused the urethane to set up too quickly. Richard says Marks saw this and stopped the coating process immediately so he could explain what was happening. Richard says he came back the next day, sanded the floor and applied the final coat. “He [Marks] said he wanted it to be perfect.” Richard says.
The garage flooring is a decorative, chip epoxy, and the flooring in the workshop is an epoxy primer with a colored, urethane finish. Richard says his workshop looks professional now. “It [the flooring] resists fading and it’s easier to find dropped bolts on,” he says.
