Phoenix chiropractic care providers offer back pain options
Get adjusted in your chair as three highly rated Phoenix-area chiropractors offer advice on chronic back pain and spinal manipulation.
Who can benefit from seeing a chiropractor?
Patti Lehew: Patients between 1 day old and 100 years old. All of us have a spine and nervous system and can suffer interference and cause pain.
Who we spoke to:
Patti Lehew, chiropractor
Peter Nemanic: In my office, we treat everything from headaches to ankle and foot problems, shoulder issues to chest pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and any spine problem.
Trevor Berry: Just as everyone can benefit from exercise, if you want a more efficient and balanced nervous system, you can benefit from chiropractic care.
What type of chiropractic work do you perform?
Lehew: I use a variety of chiropractic techniques, as people don’t all respond to the same technique. I also use gentle techniques including physiotherapy, massage and acupuncture.
Nemanic: I’m an old-fashioned bone mover. After an exam and explanation, I move the vertebrae back into alignment with my hands.
Berry: I utilize physical therapy modalities, muscle release therapy and stretching, decompression, neurological rehabilitation, cold laser therapy, and diet or supplement recommendations.
What does a visit cost, and is it covered by insurance?
Lehew: Most insurances cover chiropractic care, and I’m a provider on most commercial health plans. My adjustment fee is $40.
Nemanic: My typical office visit is $40. Some insurance covers chiropractic care, but that’s becoming less true lately.
Berry: A 15-minute visit will be $45, and 30 minutes are $63. New patient exams range from $80 to $150. I’m primarily a cash practice now, but currently accept Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
How long does a typical treatment take?
Lehew: A typical treatment takes between 30 to 45 minutes.
Nemanic: Depending on the problem, it can take anywhere from a few minutes to 45 minutes.
Berry: Follow-up visits average 15 to 30 minutes, and new patient exams are between 30 minutes and an hour.
