Philadelphia pet insurance policy pays off

Member Andrea Latzko recently utlized a pet insurance policy from highly rated Petplan Pet Insurance of Philadelphia to pay for bills when her dog needed a hip replacement. The plan saved her thosands of dollars when he underwent the surgery.

Here’s what Latzko had to say about her experience:

“I never thought about getting pet insurance until I had to rush my shih tzu/poodle to the emergency veterinarian. He eventually had to have his eye taken out and the total cost was over $4,000. While at the vet, I saw a pamphlet for pet insurance. My great pyrenees/Anatolian shepherd, Bob, was just a puppy. But I knew that accidents could happen, so I called Petplan. I was surprised that I was able to get Bob covered at an annual cost of $188.65. It turned out to be the best purchase I have ever made. Bob was a digger, and at 18 months old he needed a hip replacement. The cost of the surgery was over $6,000. After I received my reimbursement check from Petplan, my out of pocket cost was only $1,530.76. I am now a pet insurance believer.”
