Philadelphia-area company completes exterior painting on old home

Norristown, Pennsylvania, Angie’s List member Patricia S. wanted to paint her 100-year-old home. According to her Page of Happiness-nominated review, painting the exterior of a large, older home isn’t a simple task. “With a rotting porch, a vinyl-sided addition and three story peaks, it is a challenging proposition to have it painted,” Patricia says.

Patricia says the first company she contacted couldn’t complete the job within her time frame. That company recommended the firm she ended up hiring, highly rated Thomas Restorations in Feasterville Trevose, Pennsylvania. Patricia said owner Josh Thomas had glowing reviews on his social media page and lived up to her expectations.

When the job began, Patricia says Thomas arrived on time and ready to work. She says anytime Thomas encountered a problem, he reported the issue and gave a fair price for fixing it. “He really went the extra mile on all phases of the job,” Patricia says.

According to Patricia, Thomas was meticulous and cleaned up daily. She says he always left the garage and yard in perfect order. When he finished the work, she says he went over every detail to make sure the $4,500 job was satisfactory. “He spent an entire day going over the entire house, making sure he touched up, wiped up and cleaned up everywhere,” Patricia says.

Patricia plans to hire Thomas again to remove a screened-in porch and build a pergola.
