COMPLAINT: Edward Yee, Brookline, Mass.
"I brought my 11-month-old chow chow to Brookline Grooming & Pet Supplies for a wash and grooming. We've used them before and each of the previous times my chow came out beautiful.
"This time it was absolutely terrible. They butchered him, I didn't even recognize him when I picked him up. Chows are supposed to have long beautiful hair and look like a lion. The groomer shaved all of my chow's body hair and left the tail, head and legs alone.
"I am very disappointed. My daughters cried when they saw our chow come home in such a butchered condition. I don't understand what the groomer was thinking. I told her to do a puppy cut just like the previous visits.
"I've used this business for more than 20 years and would prefer to continue. I am surprised how they are handling the situation. This is not what I would expect from a reputable business. I spoke with the owner and have not heard back from them."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like a full refund for the terrible job, and a free wash and groom in the future."
RESPONSE: Mindy Dobrow, owner, Brookline Grooming & Pet Supplies
"Yes, you are correct. There are two sides to a story. I was out of the country and I'm sorry for the delay in refunding your money."
