Pest control applications leave bugs behind, member says
I tried to address the issue with him and not do it in front of my tenants so they weren’t involved in a conversation about billing. The Orkin employee insisted on sitting at the table to discuss everything with my tenants. He insisted I sign a one-year contract, and that policy wasn’t explained to me before starting the process.
After that, my tenant said there was still a problem with infestation. I called for another person to come out and spray. After four visits and not correcting the problem, they sent a fifth person out.
After the fifth visit, my tenant was missing some property, and the last person who came out also offered to do some work on the side, which made things even more awkward.
I called Orkin and spoke with the manager, who said he didn’t see anything that was reported stolen when the Orkin employee returned to the office after searching the van. Orkin then dropped the matter without further research. I then called the regional office and insisted that my contract be canceled, which it was.
I want a $196 refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
