Paving contractor allegedly takes payment without working

COMPLAINT: Ellen Loch, Columbus, Ohio

"I hired Columbus Paving to tear out and replace my asphalt driveway. I signed a contract and prepaid 50 percent of the quote in the amount of $900.

"Rick Di Salvo [the owner] said he would come out the next day to do the work. It has been months since I signed the contract and since he cashed the check.

"He avoids my calls, but when I do get a hold of him, he makes it seem like I'm inconveniencing him, even though he hasn't been doing any of the work for which I have already paid him.

"At this point, I'm questioning whether he's even planning on coming out at all."

DESIRED RESOLUTION:  "I would like a full refund."
