Patron alleges poor work, tardiness on patio project

"I contracted with John Walker [the owner] of JCom Landscaping in Upper Arlington, Ohio, to install 200 square feet of thermal bluestone patio. He didn't lay the patio as agreed and the work wasn't performed in a timely fashion. Twenty-five percent of the stones laid were chipped and unlevel. The patio did not slope away from my house, and he didn't lay the foundation properly.
"In addition, the joint lines were uneven, and he tried to fill joints with material intended for pavers instead of bluestone. The patio must be torn out and relaid to fix the foundation and leveling problems. The chipped stones and those that will break when they are removed must be replaced at a considerable cost to me."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I request a $2,700 refund."
