Patio plan in Las Vegas unresolved
All Season Sunroom Products
Never responded to Barbara Davis' request they return $2,300 she says Brian Deede, the salesman, demanded. First month in the Box.
COMPLAINT: Barbara Davis, Las Vegas
"Brian Deede [the salesman] of All Seasons Sunroom Products prepared a proposal for a small patio enclosure and submitted it to the architectural review committee of my homeowners' association. He required a $1,000 deposit before he began to measure and plan for the patio.
Before work started, I was severely attacked by my cat! I became infected and had to go to the emergency room. It didn't go well - I'm 82 years old. While in the hospital, I decided not to go further with the sunroom plan.
When I got out of the hospital, I called Mr. Deede and told him what had happened. He was furious. He said I'd have to pay him for all the trouble he had gone through. I expected to lose the $1,000 deposit, but that wasn't enough for him.
He came to my house and wouldn't leave until I wrote a check for another $2,300. I was still sick and could barely walk; I stupidly wrote the check. I wasn't thinking clearly and actually had to return to the hospital the next day for another four days."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I'd like my $2,300 returned."
STATUS: Penalty box
