Patient says Cuyahoga Falls doctor refused refund request

Member complaint

I paid Dr. Cynthia L. Dilauro of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, $1,995 in advance for a cosmetic procedure. When I first saw the doctor in 2010 for a consultation, she had me sign paperwork, and the refund policy was included. At the time, they said they didn’t give out copies of this policy.

In June, I paid for the procedure upfront, and within a week decided I didn’t want to go through with it. I requested a refund and they said I signed something and couldn’t get a refund. The policy should’ve been explained to me at the time of payment, instead of verbally explained over two years ago. I wouldn’t have paid in advance if I knew this was the policy.

I’ve called four times since then and they won’t return my calls. I tried to make an appointment to speak with the doctor about it, but they won’t let me make one. I want my $1,995 payment refunded.
