Painting job left in the Cincinnati cold
COMPLAINT: Frank Saxon, Cincinnati
"I contracted Two Women and a Brush of Morrow [Ohio] to paint my son's bedroom, and to prime and paint an interior and exterior window outside the dining room. The paint for my son's room turned out well. However, because of the temperature, they decided to wait to paint the exterior window until the temperature rose.
"Two months later, I called and spoke with Jennifer Bowles [president], who said they'd be back out. Several months went by without any further contact. When I called her again, she stated she was frustrated with having to do such a small job and explained they never charged me for the work initially. However, my invoice states something different. I haven't heard back from her."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I am requesting a refund of $35 to pay for the cost of painting the window's exterior trim."
COMPANY RESPONSE: Jennifer Bowles, president, Two Women and a Brush
"I was honest with the member in stating it was too cold to paint. Therefore, I said we'd wait until spring. Unfortunately, circumstances arose and he went forgotten.
"I never charged him for the window. I assumed he would have used the gentleman who stripped his front door, and I contacted the member to see if he had done so, but I never received a response.
"When I returned to his home, he was out of town. After using me to bid a project against someone else, I felt it was inappropriate and never called him again."
