As a wedding coordinator, what are some of your job duties?
Linda Frisard: "We're there for the bride and groom. It's a time that is unfamiliar to them. It's special and should be enjoyed and celebrated."
Tracy Marini: "Keeping the bride on track, on budget and stress-free."
Michael Bassolino: "I am a designer that actually handles the production part as well. People come to me because they're stuck. They have ideas, but they don't know how to make it a reality. "
How do you charge for your services, and what's the cost?
Linda Frisard: "I have set packages, and I also customize packages to fit particular needs. Day-of service packages can range from $1,100 to $1,800."
Tracy Marini: "I have packages that can be customized. A ceremony-only package starts off at $600. Complete full-service goes up to $4,000."
Michael Bassolino: "The minimum budget I work with is $30,000. Our fees can be anywhere from 20 to 30 percent of the total cost of the wedding."
Are you a member of any major bridal or wedding/special event trade associations?
Linda Frisard: "The Association of Bridal Consultants."
Tracy Marini: "The Association of Bridal Consultants, Wedding Professionals of Central Florida, and Orlando Wedding Professionals."
Michael Bassolino: "No. People ask for certification, but I have previous business experience that I transferred over to this industry."
How far in advance before the wedding should a couple book your services?
Linda Frisard: "As soon as they get engaged or set the date. We like to have about a year."
Tracy Marini: "Normally, nine months is a good number."
Michael Bassolino: "Ideally, 12 months."
