COMPLAINT: Laura Perron, Great Falls, Va. "I ordered from American Lawn Brothers 'high-quality hardwood' firewood. Instead, they delivered old, rotted junk wood.
I heat my house with wood and have for 11 years. I know junk wood when I see it. When I called to complain, owner Ricky Hoybach told me the wood I received was 'old,' so he gave me more than I paid for.
He said the wood he delivered would burn. Also, he told me I received a good price considering the amount of wood I received. He is missing the point. I will have to throw away most of the wood."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "If American Lawn Brothers will remove the two-plus cords of wood they delivered, I'd settle on them refunding $200 of the $350.
If they leave the pile of wood here and I have to get rid of it, I think it's more than fair if they refund me all but $50."
