Odessa paver designer brings project full circle
Brick versus concrete. Wood versus frame. Tastes vary.
But there’s one thing all homeowners have in common when it comes to a major renovations: questions.
G. Phil Clark admits he had a lot of questions when he met with Ken Falby, owner of highly rated Superior Brick Pavers in Odessa, Florida. Clark had an extensive and complex paving project planned for his Lutz, Florida, home. The Angie’s List member says Falby’s attitude when answering his questions mattered as much as what Falby said and didn’t say.
“Several things stood out to me,” Clark says. “Number one, Kent’s patience upfront in answering so many questions. [Also] his willingness to suggest design ideas, but only when asked.”
The rest of the meeting set the stage for a $12,000 project that included removing old concrete on the driveway and front sidewalk to make way for a wider brick paver driveway and winding brick paver walkway.
Superior Brick Pavers also built a front porch and steps, and added a second winding walkway to connect a side driveway with the front porch. Afterward, the workers applied two coats of sealant to their additions and on an existing back porch and landscaping wall.
The driveway looks amazing,’ Clark says. “The walkways are exactly as I had envisioned, and the front porch steps blend in perfectly.”
