New Port Richey carpet cleaner extends offer to dissatisfied customer

I hired AmeriScot Clean of New Port Richey, Florida to clean all the carpets in my house and an area rug.

We were very happy until, within a couple of months, stains started re-emerging, something I’d never had happen with previous carpet cleaners. Traffic soiled areas reappeared, too. Worse than that, circular white spots started appearing in most of the carpets that were cleaned.

I contacted the company and was told that the technician who cleaned the carpets would come back the next time he was in the area. He emailed some time later, saying he hadn’t forgotten me, but it’s been several months now and we haven’t seen or heard from him.

Because of the white spots, we will probably have to replace the carpeting. We are very disappointed.

I want a refund of $220 to use toward replacing the carpet.

We performed this service and received a positive review from the member shortly afterward. Seven months later, we received a message that she was not satisfied with the job. By the time we received her complaint, her carpets were due for another cleaning.

We do offer a money-back guarantee for our service, but only if the customer gets back to us within a reasonable time from the date of service. I believe an expectation for any type of refund seven months after a service is performed is unrealistic, much less a full refund.

I will offer the member a $100 refund, and that is about $100 more than I feel I should offer to resolve this situation.
