COMPLAINT: Catherine Clark, Canton, Mass.
"I hired Shiretown Roofing & Siding to relead the chimney because it had leaks around the flashing.
John McGuire was prompt in getting back to me, and I found him very friendly and professional. Unfortunately, he didn't have enough mortar to patch one part of the chimney.
"They said they'd be back soon to finish. They still haven't come back."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like John McGuire to return and finish the last part of this job."
RESPONSE: John McGuire, president, Shiretown Roofing & Siding
"This job was a releading of the chimney which was completed to the member's satisfaction.
"Upon leaving, my wife noticed some masonry caulking missing from one brick and pointed it out so the member could get it fixed.
"I volunteered to do this at no cost, and I sent one worker to fix this at a later time. I was told it was done, but it wasn't.
"The member expected this to be done, but I wasn't contractually obligated to do so."
