COMPLAINT: Lila Kelly, Roseville, Minn.
"I hired New Windows For America to install windows in my entire house. I paid in full, but told them the caulking around the windows on the outside looked a little sloppy. Now it's two months later, and things still aren't resolved.
"They told us several times, 'We're all done, and it looks great now.' I had to call them back and tell them they still missed something they said they would fix. Problems include sloppy caulking, improper wrapping, incomplete work on a window and a screen falling out.
"They seemed like they were going to take care of everything, but the communication has been poor and it's dragged out way too long."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like them to replace the screen and follow through with our conversations to resolve the messy caulking and scratched-off paint."
RESPONSE: Rhonda Steffes, owner, New Windows For America
"We do agree that this job has not gone like we hope they all do. We have the screen and admit that this fell through the cracks in the ordering process.
"The screen will be installed. The caulking is all taken care of and we had another crew redo all the problems."
