Members think these Tampa plumbers are unsinkable
Whether you live in Sarasota, Clearwater or St. Pete, as a Tampa-St. Pete homeowner, you’re looking for great service, especially with your plumbing needs and emergencies.
Here’s the latest Post of Happiness for great service from Tampa Bay plumbers as selected by the Angie’s List Newsroom staff.
No more cold showers
Tina Allstaedt joined Angie’s List specifically to find a good plumber after she moved to Tarpon Springs, and she doesn’t regret hiring R.J. Kielty Plumbing Heating & Cooling of Hudson, Fla. “Their plumber, Jimmy, came the next day and did a great job,” she says. “He checked for leaks, reinstalled a shower head and a new hot water heater coil and showed me where the main water valve is located. He knew exactly what was wrong with the head, and when I told him the water turned cold halfway through showers, he knew right away what to do and had the part on the truck.”
Upside down and backwards
Carolee Eckhardt says the The Surfin’ Plumbers of Bradenton, Fla. rescued her kitchen from an inattentive house-flipper. “The flipper remodeled the kitchen backwards and upside down,” she says. “The plumbing under the sink attached to the disposal had the lines going uphill so the water would enter the dishwasher, and the electrical line was placed so badly it could ignite a fire.
"I smelled a noxious odor, and the two surfers from the company fully explained the problem and completely replumbed and rewired everything," Eckhardt says. "They did a great job: fast, neat and courteous. I’m now safe, and everything is running perfectly!”
Super Saturday service
Charles Wolf says Aqua Plumbing & Air of Sarasota, Fla. saved the day when his toilets and shower began to back up. “I had just had my septic tank cleaned, and my septic tank company recommended I call a plumber to check the in-house lines first,” he says. “I called Aqua early on a Saturday morning, and they were able to fit me in that afternoon. The plumber found my clean-out, which was buried 18 inches underground. He lengthened the pipe, so it could be more easily accessed if there were future problems, and verified the tank was full and I would need to call my septic contractor. He also replaced two hose bibs that were so worn I couldn’t attach a hose.
"I was quite pleased with their response, especially on a Saturday," Wolf says.
'Little room to work with'
Patricia Biram says Miracle Plumbing of Clearwater, Fla. worked wonders when repairing plumbing issues and replacing a sink and toilet. “My guest bathroom is quite small, so the plumber, Cesar, had little room to work with, yet still managed to make it look very nice without bumping up the cost,” she says. “He adjusted my shower fixture, which wasn’t allowing me to turn the handle past lukewarm, which was priceless! He also replaced an outside faucet and pipe and went the extra mile to enhance the efficiency. If anyone asks me where to find a good plumber, I’ll know just where to send them with confidence!”
About Posts of Happiness
At Angie’s List, we regularly hear from members who are ecstatic about outstanding service received from the companies they’ve hired. We think such great service deserves recognition, which is why we feature Posts of Happiness.
We ask our members for nominations when they rate companies with A's in every category. To qualify, a review must be at least 500 characters about a company's actual work (not just an estimate) and members need to assure us that they'd hire again.
After a nomination, our staff selects the most outstanding stories to feature. If we choose your nomination, your review will appear in our monthly magazine and even right here on our website.
