Members shower these New York City plumbers with praise
Whether you live in the Hamptons, Park Slope, Newport or New Rochelle, as a Big Apple homeowner, you’re looking for great service, especially with your plumbing needs and emergencies.
Here’s the latest Post of Happiness for great service from New York City plumbers as selected by the Angie’s List Newsroom staff.
A repair that had to wait
Ridgefield Plumbing & Heating of Ridgefield, Conn. sealed the deal for Leslie Wile. “As I was about to leave for the weekend, I noticed a substantial leak in a copper pipe in the basement,” she says. “It was my son’s birthday, and we had to leave for Massachusetts. I turned the water completely off and called Ridgefield Plumbing to schedule for the moment we returned. The plumber replaced the large portion of defective copper pipe with the utmost efficiency. I couldn’t get over his politeness and professionalism.”
A poorly installed commode
Visentin Plumbing & Heating of Belleville, N.J. flushed David John’s porcelain problems away. “My upstairs toilet was leaking at the base, and water was coming through the ceiling below,” he says. “The plumbers removed the toilet to find it was not installed properly. The work went well, and they knew exactly what they had to do. They put in a new flange and mounted the toilet back in place. After several test flushes, they were done. They were here a little under two hours. I was completely satisfied and I will use them in the future”
Smile for the camera
Claudeth Forbin is plumb pleased with the service provided by Top Notch Sewer of Yonkers, N.Y. “My main sewer drain was backing up and they cleared the clog,” says Forbin. “I showed them the problem, and they immediately knew where to look. Within minutes, they had the drain running freely. They also performed a camera inspection. My house is 50 years old, and I have never had a camera inspection done. They showed me a problem that needs to be addressed in the future. I’m completely happy with the service.”
Help after a plumber retires
Sara Stackhouse pours out praise for Copperhead Plumbing & Heating of Bridgewater, N.J. “I awoke to large puddles on the laundry room floor with water slowly running from the valve that brings water to the washing machine,” she says. “I tried to call the plumber that I have used for years, but he had retired. Copperhead had a cancelation and came over immediately. They did all that was necessary to correct the problem. They checked a few other plumbing concerns and said they didn’t need repair. I recommend them without reservation.”
About Posts of Happiness
At Angie’s List, we regularly hear from members who are ecstatic about outstanding service received from the companies they’ve hired. We think such great service deserves recognition, which is why we feature Posts of Happiness.
We ask our members for nominations when they rate companies with A's in every category. To qualify, a review must be at least 500 characters about a company's actual work (not just an estimate) and members need to assure us that they'd hire again.
After a nomination, our staff selects the most outstanding stories to feature. If we choose your nomination, your review will appear in our monthly magazine and even right here on our website.
