Members pour out praise for these Pittsburgh plumbers
Whether you live up in Wexford or over in Squirrel Hill, as a Steel City homeowner, you’re looking for great service, especially with your plumbing needs and emergencies.
Here’s the latest Post of Happiness for great service from Pittsburgh plumbers as selected by the Angie’s List Newsroom staff.
Available and professional
Park Plumbing of Homestead, Pa. fielded repairs to Angela O’Reilly’s broken pipe. “After calling several providers, Park was the only one who could come out that day,” she says. “They responded quickly after calling, within about 10 minutes. They were very professional, completed the job quickly, didn’t try to sell me extra work. My plumbing is so old I’m surprised a pipe didn’t burst sooner. The total job took about 20 minutes. I am very satisfied with the whole transaction and will definitely call them again when needed.”
A fix before a winter blast
George A Bauer Plumbing of Pittsburgh, Pa. flushed Marlene Spazak’s wash basin spigot problems. “I was working in the basement, and I was not able to get the spigot to shut off,” she says. “The water was not just dripping, it had a steady steam of water coming out of it. I attempted to shut the valve off but did not want to leave the valves shut off completely due to the arctic blast of extremely cold temperatures scheduled to be in the Pittsburgh at that time.
"I called George Bauer," Spazak says. "The dispatcher took my info, and I received a prompt call back from George. He was able to be at my home in about 15 minutes and was able to correct the problem with the handle of the spigot.”
Above the call of doody
Schubert Plumbing and Heating of Pittsburgh went above the call of duty for Helen Fialkovich. “This was the first time I used this company,” she says. “I had multiple tasks that needed to be done, including unclogging several drains, fixing the toilet flap and fixing the shower and tub handles so that they worked better.
"Timmy was the plumber who came to my house," she reports. "He called ahead to let me know he was on his way, and he was very polite and friendly. He was also quite knowledgeable. The work was completed efficiently, and Timmy cleaned up after himself. I was very satisfied with the service. I will definitely use this company again and highly recommend their service.”
An indoor drizzle
Julie Cost heaps praise on Pro-Max Mechanical of Tarentum, Pa. “They ran two new water pipes in the ceiling that were leaking and also rebuilt the tub and shower faucet,” she says. “I came home from work and found water leaking through ceiling in my house. My husband cut a hole in the drywall and found two leaking pipes that were in really bad condition.
"We called Pro-Max, and they came out they replaced both lines to tub and shower," Cost says. "The bathtub faucet was always dripping, so they rebuilt the complete thing with new parts and handles. They also installed an access panel. They did a great job as usual.”
About Posts of Happiness
At Angie’s List, we regularly hear from members who are ecstatic about outstanding service received from the companies they’ve hired. We think such great service deserves recognition, which is why we feature Posts of Happiness.
We ask our members for nominations when they rate companies with A's in every category. To qualify, a review must be at least 500 characters about a company's actual work (not just an estimate) and members need to assure us that they'd hire again.
After a nomination, our staff selects the most outstanding stories to feature. If we choose your nomination, your review will appear in our monthly magazine and even right here on our website.
