Members gush about these Indianapolis plumbers
Whether you live in Broad Ripple or in Fountain Square, as an Indianapolis homeowner, you’re looking for great service, especially with your plumbing needs and emergencies.
Here’s the latest Post of Happiness for great service from Indianapolis plumbers as selected by the Angie’s List Newsroom staff.
Winter plumbing woes
Cyndi Wagner appreciated L E Isley & Sons ingenuity. “My bathrooms were draining slowly and finally stopped draining all together,” she says. “At the time, the house sewer can only be accessed from the roof vent, which made this a really hard problem to solve in this [wintry] weather. I was hoping the break in the cold temperature would allow the snow on the roof to thaw, but then it snowed again. I cleared a path to the roof vent and the technician came out and was able to clear the line. I will have a new yard clean-out put in once the ground thaws.
"They’ve come to help me before, and I can’t say enough about how hard they work to come up with a solution," Wagner says. "Everyone I spoke with at Isley was professional, supportive and responsive.”
A tankless job
LD Smith Plumbing saved Carol Adams from a chilly shower. “I awoke on a Saturday morning to no hot water,” she says. “While investigating that problem, I discovered water dripping through the ceiling in the basement. I called Lance [Smith, owner], and he advised that he could be there between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. He arrived at 2:30 and quickly diagnosed the water-leaking problem to be the waterline to the refrigerator. He attempted to turn off the water to the line, but the valve had to be replaced requiring him to cut into the drywall and cut off the bad valve. The tankless water heater was malfunctioning because landscapers had damaged the outside vent the day before, which caused it to overheat. He was able to reposition it and I had hot water in minutes.”
All at once
Peter & Marilyn Bisbecos say Pipe Dream Plumbing is truly a dream come true. “No one wants plumbing problems, and we had them all at the same time,” the couple say. “The water heater, toilet, water softener and backup sump pump all went bad the same time. Pipe Dreams is only two men, but they know what they’re doing. They were efficient, courteous, clean and answered all our questions. They came up with suggestions and ideas to make things work more efficiently and explained exactly what they were doing and why. They cleaned up nicely after themselves, and we’d definitely use them again for any plumbing job.”
Thorough repair work
Marsha Stockton’s hopes weren’t burst — unlike her pipes — thanks to Kellie Plumbing. “Tom [Findley, vice president] showed up promptly, [and he] was very clean, efficient and quick in his repair work,” she says. “Although he worked quickly, he took the time to very carefully check the entire system after each repair and thus found an additional non-obvious problem. There’s still additional work from the unexpected problem, and he’s coming back to replace a cracked toilet and faucets.
"The office manager was very helpful and efficient and demonstrated excellent communication skills and follow-through," Stockton says. "I’m very happy with the service, communication and responsiveness that I’ve experienced thus far from everyone that I’ve dealt with at Kellie Plumbing, and expect to use them for any future plumbing needs.”
About Posts of Happiness
At Angie’s List, we regularly hear from members who are ecstatic about outstanding service received from the companies they’ve hired. We think such great service deserves recognition, which is why we feature Posts of Happiness.
We ask our members for nominations when they rate companies with A's in every category. To qualify, a review must be at least 500 characters about a company's actual work (not just an estimate) and members need to assure us that they'd hire again.
After a nomination, our staff selects the most outstanding stories to feature. If we choose your nomination, your review will appear in our monthly magazine and even right here on our website.
