Member wants Fort Myers salon to cut its price
I went to Indulgence Salon in Fort Myers, Florida, for a haircut, blow dry, color and highlights. I wanted a darker base color and a few highlights. The trim and base color are all right, but the highlights are so thin that I can barely see them.
When I paid, the cashier told me the price was $200. I was shocked. I looked at the receipt later and noticed they charged me for long hair. I thought it was a mistake, so I called the next morning and said I had been overcharged. The general manager disagreed and said I did have long hair even though it barely touches my shoulders.
I want a refund of $75 and visible highlights.

When the member arrived at the salon, she already had multiple dyes, and she was unhappy with it. We talked about it and decided on the darker base color with highlights. But she wanted thin, not chunky, highlights all over.
Short hair is considered above the shoulders, and long hair is shoulder-length or longer, but we gave her a $25 discount because her hair was fine. She seemed extremely happy with the results, until she made it to the cash register.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
