Member says Winter Park handyman overcharged for substandard work
I hired My Handy Craftsman of Winter Park, Fla., to install drywall and insulation, remove an old vanity and mirror and scrape my bathroom ceiling. The handyman they sent said he completed everything on the list, but didn’t have time to mud the drywall.
I found another Angie’s List handyman to complete the project. Unfortunately, what the new handyman discovered was disturbing. My Handy Craftsman installed the wrong size drywall, did not install insulation as requested and he did not repair or remove the drywall behind the water heater as the mold is still there.
Additionally, when this original handyman put the drywall up in the kitchen, instead of making sure I had access to the stove outlet, he put drywall over the outlet. Furthermore, he bid $605 for the job, but when he finished, the price went up to $895.
I would like a total refund for the work.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
