Member says Waxhaw landscaping company failed to replace dead trees
I paid Piedmont Turf Management of Waxhaw, N.C., $1,900 to install five Leyland trees in my backyard, along with moving some other shrubs that had been planted for a while. Four months later, all the trees were dead.
After contacting Michael [Goetz, co-owner], he stated the trees were under warranty and would be replaced. After this initial contact, I had to contact him seven times over a period of six weeks, but received various excuses from Michael as to why they hadn’t been replaced yet.
After trying to push him to replace the trees as he promised, I finally had to resort to threatening legal action. He responded by saying his supplier doesn’t warranty the trees and he is ending our business relationship due to my threat. I want a $1,000 refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
