Member says Santa Fe car wash failed to clean car’s interior
I hired Hadley Car Wash of Santa Fe, N.M., to detail the BMW I just purchased. They assured me that they only use the best cleaning materials/products, and of course that the car would be like new when they finished. I left my precious new car with them and went on my way.
When I returned, I inspected the job and immediately saw there were vacuum marks all over the interior. When I asked them to fix it, they ended up tearing the upholstery. They vacuumed up a radio dial that was in the ashtray. Everything was sopping wet inside, all of the upholstery and mats didn’t really look clean and hadn’t been dried.
The next day I took a closer look, and nothing was actually clean inside. There was still dirt in every crevice, not to mention they ruined my leather seat by scrubbing it with a toothbrush! And my car now smells like mildew. I want a $60 refund because I have to take my car to another place and have it done right.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
