Member says Royal Palm Beach tree services company left her stumped
I hired Mike’s Tree Service of Royal Palm Beach, Fla., to cut down a termite-infested pine tree. The crew was punctual, and the tree cutting was flawless. The problems started because they don’t dispose of tree stumps.
They assured me the stumps would be picked up by the community garbage service. Things went downhill when the garbage service said the stumps needed to be cut down to pieces weighing 50 pounds or less.
I called Mike’s Tree Service several times to cut the stumps, but weeks later, the stumps still aren’t cut and some weigh over 100 pounds. You would think that a professional tree company would know more about this to ensure the homeowner won’t run into this problem. Now, I need to find a way to cut down the stumps to a smaller size more manageable for the garbage service. I didn’t expect this.
I want Mike’s to remove the stumps and dispose of them, or cut them to pieces that weigh less than 50 pounds.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
