Member says Peoria roofing company won’t settle insurance dispute
I hired Distinctive Roofing of Peoria, Ariz., to install a new roof on my home. I signed a contract agreeing to the $14,273 price, with no out-of-pocket expenses. The project manager assured me he met with my insurance representative and that the insurance would pay for the new roof minus my $2,500 deductible. I paid my deductible and the job was completed, but then the insurance company only paid around $8,500. Distinctive Roofing met with my insurance adjuster and agreed on the price, but the paperwork had the wrong price on it. Now, I have $3,275 additional expenses. The rep agreed there was a problem with this, but then stopped responding to my emails. I emailed the higher-ups and the company and they promised to resolve this. Now, they aren’t answering my emails. I want them to be held accountable for the promises made to me. I want a $3,275 refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
