Member says Pacoima remodeling contractor didn’t complete the job
I hired My Space Remodeling of Pacoima, Calif.,to do exterior painting, refinish kitchen cabinets, install a new kitchen floor and countertop, and remodel a small bathroom. Instead of covering my plants, they tore them out.
They didn’t replace the exterior light fixtures and destroyed one. I had to have an electrician re-install them. The contractor never got on the roof to inspect it and overcharged me by $5,200. The roofers left trash everywhere.
The contractor measured the kitchen cabinets incorrectly, ruining the space for the refrigerator. The varnish turned yellow shortly after application and they overcharged for the glaze they used for pin-striping.
They didn’t offer a warranty on the floor. The kitchen turned out nice because I followed behind the workers. The bathroom is incomplete. The contractor incorrectly measured the shower door, so I don’t have a shower door after waiting more than a month. I paid them the full $34,000 for the remodel, but they didn’t finish the job.
I want a $4,125 refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to mediate disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
