Member Complaint

I hired Florida Energy Water and Air of Orlando, Fla., to install two new compressors and relocate two new air handlers in the attic, however, they have not completed the work.

I was told that the installer was sick, and that’s why he didn’t show up when promised. Since then, my phone calls have been ignored.

They need to balance the two thermostats. The thermostat set at 73 keeps my bedroom very comfortable, but the one set at 75 has the kitchen too cold. No one inspected the last installation.

The fans sound like a wind machine. They agreed to put a vent in my closet to get rid of the whistling noise, but never did.

I haven’t received any literature or guarantees on the equipment, nor have I received the invoice for the second air conditioner and air handler.

While installing the air handler in the attic, they damaged and cut the wires that led to my burglar alarm. That needs to be replaced now.

I would like for the installation to be completed to my satisfaction. I want their company inspector to check the work. I also want all my receipts and paperwork for the installed equipment, including instructions and warranties.

They should reimburse me for repairs that need to be made for burglar alarm.

Richard Hoffman, Altamonte Springs, Fla.

Penalty Box — Broken promise

Have a complaint?

Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
