Member says New Palestine remodeler did poor work on bathroom, patio
I hired F&M Remodeling of New Palestine, Ind., to build an enclosed back patio and remodel my bathroom. None of the work is crisp or professional.
The patio work isn’t uniform: there are big gaps, the layering of the beams isn’t consistent, the nails on the roof are all visible inside, the screen door is at a serious angle, and they didn’t glue down the carpeting.
In the bathroom, they removed a custom fitted door to the closet without asking. The painting is incomplete and the new shower head is sticking 2 inches out of the wall. They took $300 off my bill because they couldn’t figure out how to stop water from coming out of the new shower head while I run a bath.
They told me they were putting new shelves in the bathroom closet, but they didn’t. The back of the new shower wall isn’t level with the top of the bathtub, so there is a 1-inch gap. I want a $4,400 refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
