Member says Maryland contractor left door job hanging
I hired 24 Hour Emergency Services of Severn, Md., to replace the front door and security door. They didn’t measure the job correctly and completely damaged the door frames. What was supposed to take no more than eight hours ended up taking over three weeks.
The contractor invited a woman, who I don’t know, into my home when I wasn’t there. He put the locks of the main door in upside down and hung the entire interior door upside down until I mentioned it. He left a mess and became so frustrated when I told him he wouldn’t work on the second door that he jumped the fence and walked off.
I am living elsewhere because the home is unsafe. I want the back entry door corrected or replaced and the security door replaced as well as the trim, masonry and gap above the door on the outside fixed.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to mediate disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
