I hired Peace of Green of Manvel, Texas, to replace my 20-year-old landscaping with flower beds, plants and trees in the front and backyard. The design is nice, and I received many compliments. However, they planted two Japanese maple trees ($250 each) that are dying. Also, I have a few other small plants that require replacement.

I called owner James Hill and he told me I had to talk to the job supervisor. I did, and he fertilized the trees. It didn’t help. I called again, and he agreed that the trees and some sod need replacing. He said he would get back with me. I called Peace of Green and my calls are directed to voicemail, and I never received a return call. Finally, I called the supervisor again. I asked if I was on his schedule for the work to be completed. He said he would call me, and I haven’t heard from anyone.

I want a $500 refund and removal of the Japanese maple trees.

First and foremost, thank you for this review, as it has helped us look over several things and put new systems in place for others. We figured out that our answering machine reset after a major storm that cut the electricity. We never would’ve known without this review. We strive to return phone calls and emails in a timely manner, but without an answering machine, it was difficult to know. The supervisor and secretary have had family emergencies with loved ones being hospitalized this past week, which has also affected our response time. I am truly sorry for this. We do have a solution in place and planned on getting it worked out next week. My crew will be at your house with a new pallet of sod and four crepe myrtles to replace the Japanese maples. You are a top priority to us and we apologize if you were made to feel any other way.
