Member says Lake Worth repair shop kept her car
I took my car to E.M.C. Mobile Automotive Repair of Lake Worth, Fla., after I blew my head gaskets. The mechanic took the car apart, took my head gaskets and cams to a fabrication shop and took the money for the part. He also told me I had to pay to get the parts out of the shop.
The car isn’t fixed almost four months later, and whenever I ask for my parts, he has an excuse. He left me hanging. I have four kids and no car.
I want a $900 refund, the parts I paid for and my cams and head gaskets back.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
