Member says Indianapolis appliance repairman took payment, but failed to fix oven
I hired Indy’s Finest Appliance Repair of Indianapolis to fix my oven, which wasn’t getting hot. The repairman, owner Gary Haines, told me a part was needed and he took a check for $300 to buy that part. He said he would call by the end of the week to schedule a time to repair the oven.
He never called, and didn’t show for the four appointments he gave me after I called him to ask where he was. He’s never showed up to repair the oven, and never returned my money despite numerous phone calls. I want a $300 refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to mediate disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
