Member complaint

I paid Cal Custom Hearth & Home of Riverside, Calif., $60 as a deposit on a future purchase. I received a guaranteed fixed price for fire glass, but the owner said if I didn’t purchase the glass, I could put the deposit toward anything else.

When I became ready to purchase fire glass, I found it cheaper elsewhere, but he didn’t believe me. I asked him to send $60 worth of fire glass, minus any tax and shipping charges.

He said he needed to write it down, but didn’t have a pen, so he asked me to call back that night. I called later, and no one answered. He doesn’t respond to voicemails or emails.

I want a $60 refund.
