Member says Georgetown painters damaged house, never finished job
I hired Michael’s Painting of Georgetown, Texas, to paint my interior, replace a ceiling and do additional texture work. They never finished the job, and what they did do was done very poorly. They damaged furniture, fixtures, floors, stairs, and an antique table and chairs.
It’s impossible to list all the damage they did to my house, which included leaving paint and texture everywhere, ruining the finish on my brand-new cabinets by getting paint on them and removing it with a razor blade, and yanking can lights out of their holes. Everything looks much worse than when they started. They didn’t remove and replace the Sheetrock, only floated and retextured over and over again.
After they were paid, they refused to come back to finish or correct anything. I would like them to reimburse me $13,876.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to mediate disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
