Member says contractor never installed granite countertops
I hired Universal Construction of Webster, Texas, to install granite countertops in the kitchen. They took a down payment of $797 and never started the work.
The work was rescheduled on four separate occasions, and I took a vacation day from work for two of them. The contractor never showed up, and when I called, he repeated, “I don’t speak English well,” but could say some basic things fairly well — enough to make you think his excuse about not speaking English was a scam.
I want a full refund or the work done.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to mediate disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
