Member says Conroe concrete contractor left work unfinished
I hired AAllift Foundation Repair of Conroe, Texas, to fix a small concrete pad and small concrete area at the end of a driveway for $250. I paid J.D. Brewer $100 and received an invoice.
The next day, the crew demolished the old concrete, piled it on the grass and placed a wood mold for the concrete to be poured. I asked for a quote to do more concrete work for a walkway to the backyard. Brewer quoted $739. I paid him another $300 deposit. He gave me a change order receipt.
A month and-a-half later, even after almost daily phone calls, the job isn’t complete and Brewer won’t answer or return my calls, or send his crew to finish the job.
I have two areas with busted-up concrete and a concrete pile in my yard.
I want a $300 refund and the first job finished.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
