Member says College Park company’s cabinet installation fell apart
I hired Papjimm Construction of College Park, Md., to remodel my kitchen and bathroom. Two years later, one of the kitchen cabinets fell off the wall, and other cabinets were also loose and not attached to the wall correctly.
I hired another contractor to redo the work, which included reattaching and reinforcing all the top cabinets and the microwave. I notified owner James Ephraim, who gave excuses such as wood cabinets don’t ever hold, my dishes were too heavy and anything can happen after two years.
I tried to talk to Ephraim several times to request a refund, and he didn’t acknowledge my requests. I want a $585 refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to mediate disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
