Member says Clayton remodeler failed to finish garage
I hired Custom Remodeling Services of Clayton, N.C., to build a garage. They never completed the project.
They left a strip of molding up, and didn’t complete some stripping in the back of the garage. They were supposed to build up the dirt around the back of the garage according to the inspector, and they never did that either. They failed to apply a second coat of paint or pave the sidewalk. They also never poured a strip of concrete in the front of the garage.
We have tried to reach them several times, and they will not respond. We gave them longer to finish the project, and they didn’t comply. I would like them to complete the work on the garage.

Penalty Box — Broken Promise
Editor’s Note: This service provider told Angie’s List that it would address the consumer’s issues, and failed to do so, which landed them in the Penalty Box for a broken promise.
Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to mediate disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
