Member says Chicago contractor damaged granite countertop
It should have been a two-day project, but five days in, I realized they were learning as they went. The dining room ceiling outlets are crooked and need to be repaired. One of them isn’t even attached to a stud — just free-floating in the drywall.
They cut the granite countertop to the incorrect size twice. I had purchased custom cabinets, and they started damaging them with their attempts to get it right.
It was a nightmare from the start. I had to pay another granite company $375 to replace the poorly cut granite. I would like Vincent James Contracting to refund me $375.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to mediate disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
