Member says Atlanta painter did sloppy work
I hired Strength Roofing and General Contractor of Atlanta to paint the walls and molding in the foyer, great room, dining, hallway, kitchen and sun room, as well as the ceiling in the great room and kitchen.
I told the owner I would wipe the walls and molding down as I did not want them painting over dust. He said that was not necessary as his crew would do that as prep work. He assured me he understood what I expected and that the job wasn’t finished until I was satisfied.
He gave me a roll of painters tape to mark any mistakes. I did as he asked and marked areas that needed attention. The places I had pointed out that need the caulking replaced had not been touched, just painted over. You can see where previous nail holes were. Paint runs were everywhere. The door and window molding had wall paint on the sides. Nail holes on one wall have been filled and the area was sanded, but wasn’t repainted.
The paint crew was fired. The owner said he had another painter he would send out. That didn’t happen. After numerous no-response calls and text messages he said he’d do the work himself. That didn’t happen. It’s now been four months.
I want a $2,450 refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
