Member says Albuquerque movers provided poor service
I hired Powerhouse Moving Company of Albuquerque, N.M., for a move. It went terrible. They quoted me five hours with three guys at $100 per hour. They arrived at 10 a.m., and at 4 p.m., we still had not moved the first load to the house. They said the truck was full.
They wouldn’t move anything made of glass or mirrors. They said they weren’t counting on stairs, even though I clearly stated what they would find. There were holes in the walls, and when I asked about them, they said they did it. There was grease on the walls from their hands, but they stated that their hands were clean.
They would take breaks and stand around on their phones while I was paying them by the hour. When we got to the washer and dryer, they said they couldn’t move the dryer because they wouldn’t disconnect the gas line. My husband had to leave work in order to disconnect the dryer. If this is their policy, I should’ve been told. I want a partial refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
