Member claims Palm Harbor remodeler completed shoddy work
I hired Bella Homes SE of Palm Harbor, Fla., to install new bamboo flooring, replace my rotting patio with a new concrete one, install ceiling tiles and reinforce support beams. At first, he seemed to know what he was doing, but after each job, he wanted his check quickly. He was paid in full within hours of completing each job.
Later, the work developed problems. When another contractor started to tile the deck, I learned it wasn’t level. The railing began to fall apart within a few days. The bamboo flooring is buckling in several places. I’ve tried to contact Ryan from Bella Homes at least 25 times, but he refuses to answer my calls or respond to text messages or voice mail. I originally chose to pay the high prices he quoted because I wanted the job done right, but this has unfortunately been a huge letdown. I would like him to refund $2,500 and redo the incorrect work.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
