Member claims Austin movers overcharged, packed trash
When I arranged the work, I chose to order per item weight. When they came in, without asking permission, they packed trash and packaging materials. I had a box of large trash bags sitting out to clean up after moving out, and they packed the trash backs. I had initially asked for 30 boxes and they charged me for 56 boxes. They didn’t have any respect for my belongings. I was quoted $390 and got charged $518, basically for moving trash. They weren’t apologetic and even after they admitted a $46 miscalculation, they only offered to give back an additional $10, which I haven’t received. I had to hire help just to clean up and unpack, which cost me more than $100. I would like a full $518 refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to mediate disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
