Lynchburg painter brushes up house interior

Angie's List member Ed Grueter of Maineville, Ohio, recently hired highly rated Dadstasks Painting and Remodeling of nearby Lynchburg to paint the interior of his home. Dadstasks painted walls, trim and doors.

Here’s what Grueter had to say about his experience:

The painters arrived promptly at 8 a.m. They introduced themselves and we reviewed what was to be done, the colors I wanted in each room and in what order that the work was to be done. During the process of explaining what was to be done, the painter in charge, Randy, made suggestions and ensured me that I would be very pleased with the project.

After the furniture was moved, drop cloths were put into place and the work started. There were four painters who worked in two teams that moved through the project very skillfully. One team was Randy and Dave and the other was Mark and Jimmy. The time estimate was for five to seven days, but the project took 3.5 days. All four painters were personable, friendly, respectful, careful not to damage anything, and made sure that the rooms they worked in were cleaned up each day before they left.

I have an office in the home and we had to work around each other so they could get everything painted and I could get my work done. They were very respectful of my need to have time in my office to get my work done and we efficiently worked through this issue.

Each day, Randy would review with me what they were going to do that day and again met with me at the end of the day on what they accomplished. The owner, Darryl, was very good at reviewing the project prior to getting the contract awarded. He went through the entire house during the estimate phase and we discussed in detail what I wanted, the colors I was interested in, the different paint brands and the best brands that would give me the best results. We also discussed the type of finish that would give me the best performance over the years and still give me the look I wanted.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I had to do a last-minute, two-week delay in the start date, and they cheerfully made the schedule change without missing a beat. The whole team at Dadstasks wanted me to be happy with my choice of contractors from the beginning through and after the project was completed.

At the end of the final day, the painter in charge and I reviewed the finished project in a walk-through process looking and pointing out areas that needed to be fixed, which was done immediately. They packed up their supplies, did a final clean-up, vacuumed the floors, boxed up the remaining paint and placed it in the basement and left. The house is 7 years old and was showing wear, and now it looks better than if ever has.”
