What services do you offer?
Doug Norman: "We do trophies, plaques, medals, ribbons, engraving, plastic signage, name badges, lettering, chrome shovels, flag cases, and we can repair older trophies."
Terri Miller: "We do many kinds of custom plaques, trophies, name badges, medals, lapel pins, ribbons and promotional products."
Paul McDonogh: "We do trophies, corporate awards, plaques and custom engraving, monogramming and silk-screening for anything you can put a logo on."
Why should people choose you over an online company?
Norman: "We still take pride in our workmanship."
Miller: "The personal service: we do not let a customer walk out unhappy."
McDonogh: "Here, you can always bring it back in immediately if something's wrong."
What are some of the options for figures on top of trophies?
Norman: "They're mostly victory or sports-related figures for just about anything. We've also got horses' hindquarters for last place, and comic bowlers or golfers."
Miller: "It can be almost any sports figure, we can also do a horses' butt, and poseable figures or custom items."
McDonogh: "The most common are pool, bowling or sports figures. I also do chopper figures for motorcycle clubs - you name it, we do it."
How do you charge for trophies?
Norman: "We figure the price by the individual parts. The average person will spend $3 to $6 for a typical 6-inch sports trophy."
Miller: "We charge by the component. An average 14-inch sports trophy is about $8.95. We can start at $3.95, and go all the way up in price for custom trophies."
McDonogh: "It's usually by the piece, and the more you get, the cheaper they are. You can get a 13- to 14-inch tall sports trophy for around $10."
How far in advance should people place their order?
Norman: "A week or two is good."
Miller: "My normal turnaround is seven days."
McDonogh: "A week to 10 days."
What makes you stand out from your competition?
Norman: "There's no job too small or too weird for us to look at."
Miller: "Our quality, selection and customer service."
McDonogh: "Because we do everything custom."
What's the funniest or most unusual award or trophy request you've received?
Norman: "We've engraved Russian rifles and hangers for medieval swords."
Miller: "I don't even want to tell about some of the things we've seen - they're not fit for print."
McDonogh: "We built a 15-foot trophy for Louisville Speedway - we had to get on the roof to put the figure on top."
